BE WISE ON WATER RESTRICTIONS:
The current water restrictions are very severe and you could pay penalties with the current tariff of up to 30%. Two ways to avoid unnecessary water usage or having to regularly top up your pool is to either install a solar blanket or to make sure your pool does not have any leaks. Now with water becoming expensive and scarce you can reduce water usage with a solar blanket.
The solar blanket is versatile product which can reduce evaporation to over 70%, save you on electricity costs and chemical usage. This product also helps keep the pool clear of debris, leaves and helps reduce cost and hassle of maintaining a pool. The added benefit due to heat retention is that you extend your swimming season and get more enjoyment from your pool.
Leaks in pool systems or structures are actually quite common and you may not even know that you have a leak. Especially in older pools where pipes, links or equipment has degraded over time. If your water consumption seems higher than normal it is advisable to have your pool checked for leaks. Often the remedy to the problem is simple and is not expensive compared with water costs over time. Early detection and repair of leaks can prevent further damage and save unnecessary cost. So be wise and consider a solar blanket for your swimming pool and get checking for leaks.
